There's a trade off in cost vs. other choices, though, and you'll have to weigh the value of its small footprint. The EdenPURE Gen2 heater sells on Amazon for more than $100 less, uses the same wattage, and is said to warm the same area. It also comes with a remote control and lifetime cleanable filter.
(Due to its low profile, there's also no way we can see the Gen2 ever tipping over. The Wall-Hugger could, though it has a safety shut off feature if it tips over.)
Both of these heaters are very well reviewed on Amazon.
Now EdenPURE does talk about the Wall-Hugger including its copper chamber system, which it claims will heat a room more evenly and more efficiently. But in our past tests compared to standard space heaters, which cost far less, we couldn't measure any differences using a thermometer in the opposite corner of a closed room as well as a humidity gauge.
We don't see any mention of this copper chamber in the Gen2, so besides the standing format, this chamber seems to be what justifies the extra cost; and we just don't see the benefit. We won't say there isn't one -- just that we haven't seen it.
We DO like, however, that the Wall-Hugger uses PTC heating elements (same as the Gen2), as these are expected to last 4 times longer than quartz heating elements. We think this gives a heater far more value, and we would recommend a PTC heater over any using quartz halogen bulbs.
